If I were to put to paper a list of artists I would most like to host for a house concert in 2017, Zach Winters would be on that list. He would be near the top. His new album “To Have You Around” is currently my favorite. Its subtle instrumentation and memorable lines have been growing on me as I’ve listened to it repeatedly from start to finish for weeks during my commute. (You should check it out if you haven’t already.) And, as the Sovereign Lord of the universe would have it, I am very excited to announce that Zach Winters will be bringing his melodic and thoughtful acoustic stylings to our home in Nashville, IL on October 8th.
My daughter, Emily, has been listening to Mr. Winters and recommending his music to me for quite a long time, but I didn’t follow her recommendation until only recently. I’m not sure why I waited so long. I should have listened to her years ago, and you should listen to me now when I tell you that you do not want to miss this house concert event.
In recent years Mr. Winters has shared the stage with a great community of Christians making independent music that is not typically played on Christian Radio, including: Page CXVI, John Mark McMillon, Josh Garrels, Tow’rs, A Boy and His Kite, and Loud Harp. He is an internationally touring artist and will be coming to our little town immediately following tour stops in Annapolis, Maryland; Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; Toronto, Canada; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Grand Rapids, Michigan. He also recently played at the AudioFeed Festival in Urbana, IL.
The concert will take place on October 8th at our home in Nashville, IL. It is sure to be a fun and relaxed evening of songs and stories. The doors will open at 7:00 PM and the show will begin at 7:30 PM. Plenty of finger foods, snacks, and coffee will be provided free of charge. Donations will be accepted at the door. We recommend a donation of $10 per individual and $20 per family. As with all of our house concerts, all of the proceeds will go to the hard working artist. Follow the Facebook event for the latest information.
Hope to see you soon!
Blessings,
Chad and Jennifer, FEB
