a shepherd boy believed that he was not alone · he fought the lion’s teeth with the help of God · and when the war came he did not run away · he was not alone like every other day · so many soldiers who would not make a stand · he passed the armory with a slingshot in his hand · and five stones when only one would have been fine · for the words of God were on the line · a little girl was changed the day her heart bowed down · she broke her piggy bank to buy a gospel plow · she carried her bible to the far side of the earth · to tell how much the Lord is worth · she writes her letters but she rarely misses home · she studies mandarin and spends her nights alone · love mixed with poverty and both hands on the plow · oh this is her best life now · the watching world it will never understand · but the lion will lie down with the lamb · so praise for the olive branch and the snow white dove that lit upon the earth that God so loved
